Belden Point is the southernmost section of City Island, located in the New York City borough of The Bronx.[1]
Belden Point is named for William Belden, a developer who opened an amusement park and resort in the area in 1887.[2] In the early part of the 20th century, the area was a favored recreation location for business tycoons including Vincent Astor, J.P. Morgan and William Randolph Hearst.[2] Today, Belden Point is home to a number of popular seafood restaurants.[3]
